Medical Assistant CMA

  • The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Training Program equips students with the administrative and clinical skills needed to support physicians and healthcare providers in a variety of settings. This program prepares individuals to become multi-skilled allied health professionals who can perform both front-office and back-office duties.

    Program Overview

    • Length: Typically 6–9 months (varies by college or training provider; includes classroom instruction and clinical externship)

    • Approval: Offered through accredited colleges or training institutions in alignment with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) standards

    • Purpose: Prepares students for clinical tasks (vital signs, injections, specimen collection, EKGs) and administrative duties (scheduling, billing, electronic health records)

    Requirements

    • Completion of a CCMA training program (instruction + externship)

    • Demonstrated competency in both clinical and administrative procedures

    • Passing the NHA CCMA national certification exam

    Fees

    • Program Tuition$4800.00

      • Covers course instruction, lab practice, and externship placement

    • Application Fee$125.00

      • Includes registration and study materials

    • Examination Fee – Paid separately to the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
