The EKG Technician Training Program prepares students to perform electrocardiograms (EKGs/ECGs), monitor heart rhythms, and assist physicians in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions. This program is ideal for individuals seeking to begin a career in healthcare or add a valuable certification to their current clinical role.

Program Overview

  • Length: Typically 60–100 hours (classroom instruction + hands-on practice)

  • Approval: College or training institution program aligned with national standards

  • Purpose: Prepares students to administer EKGs, set up and maintain equipment, recognize basic arrhythmias, and ensure patient safety during testing

Requirements

  • Completion of an EKG Technician Training Program (theory + lab practice)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs and rhythm interpretation basics

  • Successful completion of a national certification examination (e.g., NHA, AMCA, NCCT, or similar)

Fees

  • Program Tuition$1200.00

    • Covers classroom instruction and lab practice

  • Application Fee$125.00

    • Includes registration and study materials

  • Examination Fee – Paid separately to the national certification body

👉 After completing training and passing the certification exam, students become eligible to work as Certified EKG Technicians (CET) in hospitals, physician offices, clinics, and diagnostic laboratories.
